| OK, OK. I guess I better update....again. This is way hard. I'm just not cut out for "blogging." I also think "blogging" is a weird word.
Work has been depressing this week. We are finishing up with recruitment. Recruitment is the most awful part of this job. We got over 160 applications for Upward Bound, but we are only able to take about 60 students. 100 students get rejected!! I wish we could take everyone that wants to be in, but we just can't. It's so hard to explain that to the dissappointed kiddos who want to be in Upward Bound. I just pray we picked the right students, but you never know? 
Tonight is my book club for Kite Runner. Excellent Book! Very disturbing, at times, but there is redemption and I cried, of course. Then, it's LOST at 9:00. I'm telling you, that is about the BEST show on TV right now. So freakin' insane, it's awesome!!
HOWEVER....ALIAS premiers tomorrow night at 8:00. AWWWW YEAH. Can't wait to find out what the heck is going on.

| OK, since it's been about a month-ish since I posted, maybe I should post another? You think.
Oh yes....do you realize how much I love Jack Johson right now...I'm obsessed!
Just returned from a week of family vacation in Charleston, SC. Specifically the Wild Dunes area. We watched Hurricane Ophelia, I mean Tropical Storm Ophelia, I mean Hurricane Ophelia, I mean Tropical Storm Ophelia....torment us all week off the coast. Then, nothing much happened. I hated to be annoyed considering what thousands are going through right now because of Katrina. I was able to enjoy a great time with my family, even if we did have to stay in and play cards. The constant anticipation and worry was a bit stressful.
Things at work have been very busy. We are recruiting and interviewing like mad people. I so wish we could take everyone that applies, but, alas, the powers-that-be will not allow that. Also, UB would be less effective with so many students. I'm looking forward into settling into a routine.
So that's enough for now. All the UBers will be glad to see that I've finally posted.

| Not much new to say today....I have a Book Club tonight which is always a blast with the ladies. We eat a lot of food and talk about the book....a little...its mostly eating and laughing. The book was....OK. I'm not sure if I liked it, yet, or not? Tonight will be good, I'll process it.
Shout out to my nephew, Greer! He is 3-years-old today!!! I love that stinker to death. Just called and wished him a Happy Birthday. Aaron had to force him to listen to me sing...oh yeah, he loved it.
That's all I have to say today, folks. Things are quiet in the office.
